August 11, 2010 is the deadline to submit comments on proposed changes to Medicare and Medicaid regulations governing the imposition and collection of civil monetary penalties against nursing homes for failing to comply with Medicare & Medicaid regulations.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today (July 12, 2010) proposed regulations that would expand and revise current Medicare and Medicaid regulations regarding the imposition and collection of civil money penalties by CMS when nursing homes are not in compliance with Federal participation requirements in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
